Flipbook

Made these cute paper pockets for a swap:
When I was a kid, these were called paper cups. I basically picked some cute paper and stuffed them full of stuff.
Made a cute envelope flip book for a group:
I decorated the outside with some ephemera.
And tried to do a shabby chic theme for the inside:

Altered notebook

I signed up for an altered notebook swap.
I went with a springy theme. I used some vintage trim for the closure and to cover the binding. I decorated the front paper with stickers and gems.
Back:
Not very exciting. I messed up on attaching the paper, so had to add some washi tape around the edges.
We had to include two pockets:
Again with the washi tape border.
And 3 tabs.
Last time, I cute little tabs that I attached this time, I went with punched out circles and added flower stickers to them.
I thought they came out pretty cute.
There are also flower stickers in the same colors on the backs.
Last pocket:
I'm not a bright colors person, but I like how this turned out.
I signed up for a tassel swap:
I love using up some of my numerous trims (both vintage and not) and some of my resin charms for these. They are so fun to make. I had to keep the green/pink one for myself. I just couldn't part with it.

Loaded Destash Envelope

I figured out a cute way to send glitter:
I just poured it into an empty pen. I closed up the top with a gemstone and some hot glue. It's wicked cute, but I feel it needs a little more embellishment.
I made a cute rosette:
Had some leftover black paper, so made the rosette, added a circle I found on my desk and a resin piece and tiny bow. I wasn't trying to make Hello Kitty, but it kinda looks like her.
I had to make a loaded destash envelope for a swap. We had to alter a 4x6 envelope and fill it with stuff:
I just went to town with some of the ephemera on my desk.
the back:
And I had this cute gem stone stickers, and some washi stickers.
The guts:
We had to send 15 stickers, 3 handmade embellishments, 6 pieces of patterned paper 3.5"x2.5" or larger, 2 altered paper clips, a shiny thing, 15 die cuts, 2 ribbon/lace, and a rosette/wand. It was destash, so we could make the things, or put in stuff we'd gotten in other swaps and wouldn't use.

Pocket letters

Butterfly pocket letter:
Totally just used some butterfly paper for the background and added stickers.
Spring mini pocket letter:
I added some trim to the bottom, a sticker on the first pocket, a bee hive die cut and gemstone bee to the second pocket and a sun die cut and some resin watering can stickers to the third pocket.
Sticker bomb pocket letter:
This was a ton of fun, all I had to do was cover paper with stickers and then cut it down to size.
Flower pocket letter:

I took a flower picture and cut it to size, I added some stickers and some washi to the edges.
Unicorn mini pocket letters:
Just stickers and washi, sometimes I don't do as much on pocket letters because it seems I don't get much back and I just don't feel like putting in the effort.
Flower pocket letter:
I used some washi to edge this calendar paper.

Penpal happy mail swap

I signed up for a bunny altered paper clip swap:
I had just bought these giant paperclips and wanted to alter one of them for this swap. I like altering the giant ones.
I signed up for a penpal happy mail swap. We had to package it cute, I had gotten a handmade folder in the mail and totally copied it for the swap:
The inside without the goodies:
The goodies:
We had to include a decorated tag, washi samples, handmade embellishments and altered paperclips.

I had a fun time making the tags, they are some black tags, with trim at the bottom and some 3D paper roses on the front. THe handmade embellishments are some flags and flower embellishments

cards

I signed up for a Y theme card, and the only thing I could think of was yellow.
I just layered a few yellow papers and then stamped Dream on it.
This one was for a card sketch:
I wish I had added something to the middle of it, it just looks like it needs it.
This is for a 'hello' card:

We just had to have the word hello on it somewhere. I just layered paper and some stickers.
This is for a Mother's Day card:
Just layered papers.
This is for an animal card:
I keep telling people I'm not good at making cards (I'm really not, but I'm good at layering paper).

ATCs

Someone wished for some ATCs, so I made a couple for them:

I went with a captured butterflies theme for the first one.
This is a free theme swap:
I basically cleaned off my desk. These orange pieces were there and they went great with the 'gardening' bits I found.
I went back to my roots for a background. I love collaging, I think it's the most soothing kind of art I can do. I just sat down with some paper scraps and a glue stick, I added some washi strips and some stamping and came up with this background:
Which became some flower ATCs:
They are pretty simple with some stickers attached to the front.
The background also made some ATCs with words:
It was so much fun, I just went through my other scraps and added what looked good.

Embellishment Box

I'm trying my hand at embellishment boxes, I love the idea of them, but I'm not really good at making them. I like getting them. For this first one, I had to have at least 2 spaces filled with handmade things. Here's the top:
I always seem to gravitate towards lace and shabby chic stuff. Covered it with the green/white trim, it's actually two pieces with the pink/white trim covering the seam. I added a flower with some random leaf trim and a pink pearl in the middle, I also added some tiny pearls around the edge.
I also had to decorate the lid inside:
Which I forgot, and had to reopen the package and finish it. I just added some swan paper with spring stickers and a 'Hello Spring' piece.
All the stuff I put in them:

Some rubbery embellishments, gems, resin pieces, mini bows, lace, sequins, shaker pieces, I made the round pieces and the pieces with butterflies and hearts. I'm not good at embellishments either. Maybe I'm really not that great at making things.
I altered an 'egg carton' to make an embellishment  box for a friend. It started out as a container for Cosmic Candy Hatchimals, a 12-pack. It was clear on the top and I wanted to make it more flat looking on top, also it was very bright pink on the top and bright purple on the bottom. Here's what the top looks like:
I covered it with a double layer of a vintage dresser scarf, using some green daisy trim to cover the raw edges. I added a bunny ribbon and a wooden chick piece on the top.
The inside:
I wish the dividers were a little taller, I was originally going to mail this, but no way would the stuff stay in it's individual spots. I sent chenille chicks, a couple glass bottles filled with tiny paper butterfly punches and tiny clay flower pieces, some wooden buttons, some shaped paperclips, bunny erasers, an egg ornament, some resin egg pieces, mini pom poms, a Jack Skellington and Sally Tsum Tsums, some washi, stickers, and some butterfly brads.
The bottom:
I covered it in an olive green scarf and covered the edges with a random trim.
I kinda think I may have made with worse adding the trim over the raw edges. I added a 'hinge' of the olive fabric to cover the original hinges, I couldn't figure out how to cover them.

Pocket letters

I love making pocket letters, they can be really simple or really elaborate. A few I've made recently.
Valentine's Day pocket letter:
This one flowed so well and then I ran out of elements and had to improvise for the 2nd, 4th, and 6th pockets. I really like how it turned out, though.
 Another Valentine's Day:
This one is really simple, I basically just took a nice paper and cut it up and then used up a sticker sheet from Hobby Lobby.
Spring pocket letter:

Again, I just used some sticker sheets, but they all seemed to flow together well.
Purple pocket letter:
This one is just layered paper with some of the purple stickers I found in my stash, simple but nice.

Cards

A few cards I made recently.
This one was for a card sketch, I had to use yellow, circles and something geometric (rectangles). I totally just cleaned off my desk to make this one.
 Valentine's Day cards:
This are pretty simple. I just cut some patterned paper, layered it, added a felt sticker and then an emoji heart sticker on top. The back had a piece of vintage book paper on it.
Bunny card:

I had to make a card with a bunny on it. I just layered paper and stamped some bunnies.
I'm really not that good at making cards. I'm good at layering paper.
