Vintage mini pocket letter

I made a vintage mini pocket letter as a RAK for one of my facebook groups. A RAK is a random act of kindness, basically you make or just send something just for the heck of it to someone else.

I took some vintagey travel ATC backgrounds from Hobby Lobby and decorated them. For the first one, I added a vintage picture (I don't know if it's an actual photograph or just a picture). I added a banner and some words to the top. For the second one, I added the 'air mail' ephemera and the train to the bottom, I added some ink to the train piece. For the last one, I added the bird picture and layered some flower punches and a heart punch.

Day 4:

 The black piece is from my pink and black flip book. The triangle piece is from some gift bags. The flowers are from a RAK. The mason jar is from Walmart. The heart sticker is from Dollar Tree.
I like how this one turned out, except for the heart floating out of the jar. I didn't have enough time to go through my stickers and find a better one. I really wanted to put a big one at the corner with a trail of smaller hearts leading back to the jar.

Day 3:

 The washi is from JoAnn's. The foam pieces are from Goodwill. The flower/sun is from Target.
I'm not liking this one near as much. I wanted to use the foam pieces I had just bought on Friday, but I couldn't think of a great way to use them. This is also the first time I used the washi, they came in a pack of two together at JoAnn's, they are part of the $1.99 collection.

Day 2:

 I covered the background with paper from Hobby Lobby. I added some washi I got in a swap. The teacup is from a card I bought at Dollar Tree. The bird is from a swap. The flowers are from a RAK.

Found art

Everyone's always talking about junk journals these days, I'm not a journaling person, and I'm not that interested in making them. I do collect things, though. Doesn't everyone?
A few years ago, I bought this journal at a garage sale for $1:

 I picked it up because it was cute, and I thought it would make a great gift.
I remember one night last year when I was tired of sorting and packing things, I gathered a pile of my found things, some washi and just started taping things into this. It was very soothing.

This is the last page in the book. I didn't do this all at once, I might have done about 10 pages that night before I either got tired or ran out of stuff. I've been slowly adding to this throughout the past year, like I said, I find it very soothing. I also like adding to it every time I find something interesting. A lot of the items are found in books, some are things I've gotten.

Screw It and Do It Challenge, Day one

One of my facebook groups had a challenge where we created for 10 minutes each day starting July 7th. I bought a set of index cards to create on. I basically just took items off of my desk because it was faster than looking for items.
Day 1:

 I had just made a summer flip book and had a lot of strips of paper lying around. I also added a tiny bit of green washi to the top. The 'ticket' was also left over from the flip book. The flip flops are a sticker from Dollar Tree.

June Birthday card

Cat's Crafty Corner on youtube had a June challenge to make a masculine birthday card for her significant other.
Here's what I created

I'm not that great at making cards, and probably worse at making masculine cards. For this one, I used an old ledger page for the background. I distressed it with ink. I added some brown lined paper and a vintage photograph.
