Hello all,
I'm starting this blog as my art blog, following any art work I produce and what goes in my etsy shop.
I am 25 years old, have been doing art for a long time. I contribute my interest of ATC's from when I started with rubber stamping, from rubber stamping I went to a few classes in an art store downtown, that closed a few years later and then at a rubber stamping store in Ankeny, which also has closed. As of now, I don't know of any rubber stamping stores in the area, though I'd be intrigued to know of some. I got into more 3D and collage art through rubber stamping, and then into paper arts as well.
Most of my work right now is ATC's. I'm currently working on a scrapbook style piece for my boyfriend for Christmas (I'll post a picture when I get it done), and decorating a small 6 inch tall dress form for my mother for Christmas (also will post a picture of this).
When I was in high school I took 2D, 3D, 4D and a fibers art class, I really enjoyed the 2D class the best. One of the pieces I did for the fibers class where we made paper, I entered in the senior art show and won best in class for fibers.I have also done quite a bit of art work through my 4-H group when I was in elementary through the end of high school and received numerous ribbons for my work.
To start you all off here are some of my most recent Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) that I made for my collageatcs Yahoo! group, of which I am the hostess/owner of.
In this group, I send a packet of items to each of the members that choose to participate for a given month and they are required to use at least one item on every card they make. This past month, November, was an orange swap.
In this card I used part of a napkin, that has been affixed to a chipboard piece.
All of these cards also use the same napkin glued to other chipboard shapes.

Starting on the left and continuing clockwise: part of the napkin along with the polka dot ribbon, fish and the background, pumpkin sequin, orange foam and the "T".
