What's on Your Workspace Wednesday

It's Wednesday again (OK, not quite), and here's what I've done in my artsy space since last week. I hope the picture's ok, when I woke up this morning, I had no power, so I had to open up my shades and take the picture.
I have been trying to get a shift off at work, and this is my thank you card to my co-worker for filling my shift.
I love using old book pages in my work lately, so I layered one onto a piece of green cardstock (why green? I have no idea). I searched through my papers and finally found this woman, and then added the buttons in the corners (I'm trying to use my buttons as well, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate them). The one on the bottom is brown, the one on the top is green, if you can't tell.

If you don't know what WOYWW is, hop on over to Julia's blog to see. I love comments.

I love using book pages and buttons too! I usually shade the torn edges with pencil and rub it just to add some texture. Patsy from

Ooh, I love old book pages and it's great to see one on your card. Nothing quite like it for adding a vintage touch. Great work! Happy WOYWW!

Old text and buttons. You can't go wrong with those on a card. Really like the vintage feel to this card. Happy WOYWW a bit late in the day.

This is another area that I want to start. The thought of ripping pages out of a book makes me pause but the beauty of the cards I have seen and especially now with this beautiful card is inspiring me to make the leap. Very beautiful. I love the picture of the girl too. I hope your co-worker enjoys it as much as we are too. TFS.
