It's a party

I am joining in on the Pay It Forward Art-making Project for 2014. I tried to do this last year, but it didn't work out so well, let's hope it does better this year. This year I signed up through kluless.

What I will do:   Make a small work of art for the first five people who comment on this post and say "YES, I want in!"  

What you will do:  Swap a piece of art with me, post the rules on your blog or any other social media AND make something for the first five who comment on YOUR post...you in return will get 5 pieces of original art.

The rules are simple:

– It has to be your work, made by you, and the recipient must receive it before 2014 ends.

- Doesn't matter where you live in the world. 

- Copy & Paste this as your latest entry on your favorite social website (your blog is fine).

– It can be anything art-based: a drawing/illustration, a photograph, digital, jewelry, a knitted item, cross-stitch, paper maché – or anything in-between.

- It doesn't matter if you aren't an artist...the sky's the limit...

May White Swap

I joined up with Linda at A Swap for All Seasons again, this month the theme was weddings and white. I sent my package to Marti of Artful Curiosities, here's what I made:

I had a hard time with this one, I don't have a lot of wedding stuff. I did find the cute vintage picture, I thought the background paper was very cute.
And here's my destash:

the two bigger photos, I scanned and printed out. The large one is a tintype I bought for $3, I thought it was great, I'd love to print it on photo paper sometime. The round one, was in a frame, and when enlarged came out as kinda blurry, I hope Marti doesn't mind. Here's some more I sent her:

Some shiny fabric, a couple wedding/love pieces, some ribbon, pearly trim, gem trim, some pearl pieces, tiny doves, two white hearts, a couple flowers.

Francie from The Scented Cottage sent to me:

There's a cute lavender sachet there, a vintage hanky and some flowers along with the card and tag she made for me.

some pictures, heart doilies, some more flowers, pearls, and a few buttons.
