In my new group, they have a few that I can actually make things for. One of them was a flip book. The person I'm sending too likes vintage, so I went with a vintage theme. I had cut down a bunch of 12x12s from the Newsworthy paper pad (Hobby Lobby) for a granted wish of vintage paper, so I had a lot of scraps. I also have a lot of 3x5 notecards laying around, so I just covered them with the scraps.
Here it is all closed up:

 I used some white with gold polka dot washi as the binding. I tied some twine around it and put a binder clip on the top to close it.

 I wrapped the cards with the same paper on the front as the back. This one had the New York building that I used as the front and this bus scene with not much on the bottom, so I added these roses.

 This page was pretty boring, so I added the burlap and a vintage photo framed on some blue paper.

 This one I framed this Bingo clip art on some pink paper, added the blue piece with a sticker on the bottom.

 I added a vellum pocket that I covered with more paper from the pack. I included some tags from another vintage flipbook. I added the boy scout pieces from a vintage card that was in some donations at my work.

 These sticky notes were in another swap, I thought they worked great for the group. They are one some plastic that I just attached with double stick tape.

 to reveal a pocket holding stickers with some washi on top.
Here are the goodies, minus that paper clip, it didn't work out in the end.

 The tags are from another swap as are the flower stickers, the vintage stickers are from a Peachy Cheap grab bag. I altered the binder clip with some book washi.\

I think it turned out massive cute. I've learned through the years I like smaller canvas'.

Valentine's File Folder Pocket Letter

I signed up for another file folder pocket letter swap, this time it's a Vintage Valentine theme:

 I used a manila folder as the background. I used some vintagey looking paper to cover the front and back. I covered the staples with Valentine's washi. The 'be mine' came from a bag I got at TJ Maxx last year. The scallop part at the top is from the same bag. I added some vintage trim to the bottom of the front.

 I'll admit I had a hard time finding vintage stuff for this, even though I was wicked pumped for the theme. I found this vintage wedding print in one of my paper pads, I put it on some pink paper and made a pocket with it. I added some rose trim to the bottom. That card on the front is vintage. I added some mulberry paper hearts, a cupcake pick and another heart to the pocket.
Pocket letter:

 The background is a heart paper I picked up at a garage sale. I used some vintage photos, some vintagey looking ephemera and some retro girls. I put a small burlap heart behind every piece, and tried to accentuate every card. For the first card, I added the 'kisses' sticker, the second card has a love piece on foam tape, the third card I added a cork heart sticker on top of the heart on the automobile. Second row first card, I added the envelope, the middle has a little magnetic bookmark that I added the sparkly heart to, the third card has a jar of hearts. Third row first card I added the 'forever' sticker, the second card has a 'valentine' sticker and the last card has a 'cute' sticker.
Back of pocket letter:

 I added some ribbon, white hearts, some hot air balloon sticker, vintage journaling spots, washi, mulberry paper, tiny paper envelopes and some alphas.

 I couldn't find anything to really add here, so I put the back of the card from the front page.
Back cover:

There was a big empty space in the middle of the page, so I added this foam heart and the embellished doily.

 I'm a little bummed that she didn't actually decorate the pocket letter. It's just paper cut for the pockets.

I was so excited when I opened the package, I just wish it was more decorated. It also isn't really geared at Valentine's Day, it could just be a vintage one.

Vintage pocket letter

I created this vintage pocket letter for a group:

I used a piece of paper from the Newsworthy paper pad from Hobby Lobby for the background. I had to include a bow, an envelope and a tag.
First row: I used some paper from a tiny paper pad from JoAnn's for layering. I used these tiny vintage photos for the details. I added the tiny envelope stickers (from Target) to the top of the pockets, I distressed them with some ink and added some vintage buttons.
Second row: I made some tags and added the photos to them. The left and right cards have wooden tags with words layered on them. The middle card just has a saying
Third row: I made the two end tags. I layered the photos on some brown paper on all three cards and added the bows to the top of all the pieces. The middle card has a vellum envelope and some blue paper.

Your Style Swap

On one of my facebook groups, I signed up for a swap where we got to pick what to send.
I decided to go with a loaded bag and fill it with goodies.
The front:

 I covered it with paper from the Newsworthy paper stack from Hobby Lobby, I also covered the pocket with another paper from the same pad. I added some travel washi to the top, that's also from Hobby Lobby. I cut out an Eiffel Tower that I got in a swap. I added some rub-on flowers from Target and a saying from a journaling card from Hobby Lobby.
The back:

 I added some butterfly ribbon I picked up at a garage sale. I used a journaling card to make a pocket. I added a doily I got in a swap with some tiny heart stickers I also got in a swap. The larger foam heart sticker is from Hobby Lobby.

The goodies:

I filled it with some stickers, stamps, sequins, paper straws, pens, pearl trim, paper clips, washi samples, journaling cards and sticky notes.

It looked stuffed to me.

Vintage mini pocket letter

I made a vintage mini pocket letter as a RAK for one of my facebook groups. A RAK is a random act of kindness, basically you make or just send something just for the heck of it to someone else.

I took some vintagey travel ATC backgrounds from Hobby Lobby and decorated them. For the first one, I added a vintage picture (I don't know if it's an actual photograph or just a picture). I added a banner and some words to the top. For the second one, I added the 'air mail' ephemera and the train to the bottom, I added some ink to the train piece. For the last one, I added the bird picture and layered some flower punches and a heart punch.

Vintage Loaded Envelope

I signed up to make a loaded envelope through a facebook group, the theme was vintage.
Here's the front:

 I actually started with an envelope, I added some paper from an old paper pack in my stash. I affixed the front with vintage looking brads. The bottom has some vintage lace and seam binding. The flower is vintage as is the button in the middle of it. In this picture, you can see I started filling it with vintage photographs and some book pages.
The back:

 The top has some trim from a vintage shirt and some more lace. I'm pretty sure the postcard at the bottom is not vintage, but it looks like it, it's a pocket.
I also made a tag for my partner:

The background is a dictionary page. I layered on some pink patterned paper and a vintage photograph. The eyelet is actually vintage, the trim is 100% silk from China from a swap.

I had to take a picture before I took anything out, because I knew it wouldn't be going back in the same way.

I love everything she sent me. She told me she didn't realize I was actually sending vintage stuff, even though I asked if she wanted me to load it up with vintage items. Then, she told me, usually people buy stuff from a store and make items to include in swap.
