St Patrick's Day Loaded Bag

I had originally asked on one of my Facebook groups about doing a St. Patrick's Day/green loaded envelope. One of the hostesses saw my post and created an event. Here's what I made:

 I covered the background with some clover paper (Hobby Lobby), I covered the bottom pocket with some green paper, I was looking for something less busy for a background. I added a sparkly clover to the top (Dollar Tree). The 'Happy St. Patrick's Day' piece is actually the top of a pick (local gift store) that you'd put in with your flowers. I added some iridescent clovers (Dollar Tree garland) underneath it. I added the felt clover (Hobby Lobby) to the corner. I also added a clover paper clip (swap).

 I added this big tag (swap) because he just looked so cute and fit perfectly on the bag. I added a clover gem (Hobby Lobby) to cover up the hole that the ribbon was in. The bottom has some more St Patrick's Day paper (Hobby Lobby), I was going to add some 'gold coins' to it, but I couldn't find them at the time.
Here's how I packaged it up:

 I made a wand with some cardstock paper (my stash), a sparkly clover (Dollar Tree), and a 'Kiss me I'm Irish (local gift store) piece from another flower pick. I added a bunch of stickers, some tags, some green and gold trim, some mint chocolate (we had to add a green treat), a pen, and other things I didn't take a picture of. As I was loading it, I realized I didn't have a lot of green things.
All ready to go:

 I wrapped it up in some green tissue paper and added some washi, ribbon and flower soft to the package. I also added some more of those sparkly clovers, clover gems and iridescent clovers to the box. I believe when it gets to my partner, all this will be in a corner.
I wanted to cover up the outside of the box and found some green iridescent duct tape. I may have gone a little overboard:

But, who wouldn't be excited to get this in the mail?

I will say I'm a little bummed about it. I had originally posted on the facebook group looking for someone to swap a St. Patrick's Day/green loaded bag and one of the admins said she'd start an event for one, so I signed up for that instead. I guess I was looking for more green crafting things, less St. Patrick's day items, but I did sign up for it, so I'm happy that my partner put so much effort in it.

mini pocket letter

I signed up to do a private swap with someone, we decided to do a mini pocket letter with no theme. Here's what I created:

I went with a unicorn theme, because I had them out for another swap. I just layered some paper and the unicorns with some stickers. I was also trying to keep it somewhat flat since postage has gone up again.

Create your own craft-Butterflies

I signed up for a swap where you basically make 3 projects that involve butterflies. There was a list on what we could choose from: a decorated notecard and envelope, an ATC, a mini pocket letter, two 3 layer embellishments, a large decorated mixed media tag, two embellished paperclips or a keychain/planner charm.

I chose to make a notecard, two paper clips and an ATC. Here's what I made:

For the notecard, I took the background paper from a paper pad (my stash), layered with with some other paper (my stash) and added a wooden sticker (Hobby Lobby). The ATC has a vintage personal letter for the background, with some paper and stickers on top. For the paper clips, I took some lacey stickers (Dollar Tree), stuck them on paper and fussy cut them out.

My partner chose the note card, two paper clips and the embellishments. I love that embellishment in the middle of the photo, the flowers look like they came from a vintage pin.

March Calendar Tag

I signed up to do the monthly calendar tag for March. I couldn't get past the St. Patrick's Day theme, mostly because I was making a loaded bag with that theme.

 I covered the background with some clover and St. Patrick's Day paper (Hobby Lobby). I added a couple sparkly clovers (Dollar Tree), the top of a St. Patrick's Day flower pick (local gift store), and some 'gold coins' (Dollar Tree). After I had added the calendar, I thought it needed something else, and remembered the Mardi Gras necklaces I picked up at the Dollar Tree for another tag project. I just made sure I glued the Mardi Gras side down.

I also included a cute little felt clover (Hobby Lobby) paper clip I made.

Altered Canvas

I signed up for an altered canvas swap in one of my groups. I had the hardest time doing it. I used to be more of a mixed media artist and am now mostly paper and have mostly paper stuff, so I couldn't really think of how to alter it.

I modpodged the background paper (Hobby Lobby) with some ribbon (my stash), the doily (my stash), the corner piece (from a Valentine's bag from TJ Maxx). I also added the middle of another doily (swap) and some gold letters (Hobby Lobby). I painted the vines and leaves on it and added the two heart stickers (my stash) to pull together the pink color. I like how it came out.

Every time I look at this, I see something new. I love all the different layers and the different elements all over it. I love that it's very 3D.

Happy Mail

There's always a few swaps that I do that I don't really post on here, so this post is about those swaps (where I don't make anything, but I still swap things), and random crafty things I get in the mail.

This first picture is what's called an Ugly Paper Swap. We had to send each other 8 pieces of 6x6 paper that we weren't going to use.

 I didn't include doubles in the picture. We were also encouraged to make a tag using at least two of the papers sent to us as the background:

And you can see, I used three of them. I layered the 'smile at the camera' on some pink paper and foam tape. I added the pink ribbon with camera ribbon on top of it.
This was a 'secret cupid' not exactly a swap, just if people wanted to send me something. It was through a facebook page, you listed 5 things you wanted and someone else could decide what they wanted to send you.

 I had listed coffee ephemera, handmade embellishments, vintage buttons, Valentine's ephemera, and hedgehog anything.

In my Lollipop subscription box every month I get a stencil, I don't use stencils, so I swapped them out. One person sent me teddy bear die cuts:

 I haven't gotten around to making a tag with them.
I also signed up for a pink washi swap, we were to send 6 samples of pink washi, one had to be solid. Here's one partner:

P, Q, R tags

This time the tags were for P, Q, R. Here's what I made:

P is for purple, popsicle, penguin, paper airplane and peacock. Q is for queen, quail (I'm not exactly sure this is a quail, but close enough), and question mark. R is for red, rainbow, robot, rabbit and raccoon.
I had a hard time with Q, I was excited to just get three things. I even browsed my dictionaries, I finally found the tiny queen card.

They're cute and simple. I like them. I wish my partner had included a note of some kind. The card is blank and there's no return address on the envelope.
