Summer Tags

I signed up for a swap where I had to make some summer tags, they had to be 2.5"x3.5" or smaller to fit in ATC sleeves. I used watermelon and lemon paper for the backgrounds:
The first one I added a sticker with some gold glitter glue to enhance the sand and a cut apart of a sand castle. The second one has a beach ball and some waves, plus a sentiment. The third one has a glass of lemonade sticker that I added a straw to. The fourth has a pinwheel and some sunglasses washi. The fifth has a kite and some butterflies. The sixth has a couple girls, a jeweled ice cream and fun in the sun spelled out.
Here's what I received:
I love her coloring. Coloring is not something I do well, so when people stamp and color their images on things it tickles me. I'm also a big fan of shaker things, as long as they're put together well.
Here's some extras she included:

Summer pocket letter

I signed up to make a summer pocket letter in one of my groups. Here's what I came up with:
I used some leftover paper for the background. I basically took a whole bunch of summer stuff from my stash and used it on this pocket letter.
First row is a sun diecut, second card stickers from Dollar Tree, third card coloring piece and a girl from a calendar.
Second row, first card is a sticker from Dollar Tree and a die cut, second card both images are from journaling cards, third card is the girl from a calendar.
Third row, first card both images take from a journaling card, second card image from ephemera layered on a flower, third card cut outs from a subscription box and a die cut.
The back:
We had to include some summer embellishments, one handmade embellishment and two washi samples. I created the flower paper clip, the tags and the butterfly paper clip in the bottom. I also included another butterfly paperclip, the summery washi, more stickers from the Dollar Tree, some ice cream bling, scraps of paper, more coloring cards, some ephemera and some stickers.
The back:
I used this summery popsicle paper for the back.
Here's what I received in return:
It's cute, I just wish there was more on it.
The goodies:
I love the tassel and the rosette that she made. Everything is very cute.

Summer flip book

I signed up to do a summer flip book through one of my facebook groups. The cover:
I used a yellow background and added the front of a Tim Ree card I got in a swap.
I used a lot of brightly colored patterned paper for the backgrounds, I adhered them all together with the clear scotch tape and put green washi over the seams. I've found scotch tape and stronger tapes work much better at holding flip books together than washi tape. When I folded it all up, the edges were uneven and after trimming them, they looked pretty bad, so I added some washi tape with cute sayings on them to cover it up.
 Close-up of left page:
I went with an ice cream theme. The two big ones are sticky notes from TJ Maxx, the two cones on the left are from a summer paper kit I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The popsicles in the middle as well as the saying are from Target. The popsicles on the right are puffy stickers from last year's Target dollar spot.
Right page:
I gave her a lot of sticky notes (you'll see more later), I got all of these in swaps. The top is a cloud, flip flops and then a set of page flags.
 Middle page:
I used a scene on a 12x12 paper from Hobby Lobby. I got the grill kit from a swap, the swimsuit is from that same summer paper pack.
Right page:
I kinda went with a picnic theme. The paper made me think of a tablecloth. The small food stickers are from Target. The ants are from Walmart. The bee is from Hobby Lobby. The orange is from a folder in my stash. The taco is a sticky note.
 Third page:
These flowers are from the spring collection this year from Hobby Lobby. The washi at the bottom is from JoAnn's.
Right page:
I just added a pocket with some goodies. I spelled out life is better in flip flops on the pocket.
Goodies in the pocket:
The washi was some I thought said summer and what I used throughout the flip book.
The sticky notes are what I used. I made some paper clips out of that folder from my stash.
Here's what I got from my partner,
The front:
 The first flip:
 Second flip:
 Third flip:
 Very simple, but cute.

Summer Pocket Letter

I signed up to make a summer pocket letter for one of my facebook groups. In the same group, I had signed up for a summer sticker swap and my partner sent me all these cool vintage image stickers, which I thought would be perfect for this pocket letter.
I used some paper from the Newsworthy paper pad from Hobby Lobby for the background and used a couple sticker sets from Dollar Tree and Walmart to add a little more to the pocket letter. The floaty thing, watermelon, hat, surfboard and flamingo are all cardstock stickers with foam tape from Dollar Tree. The two drink stickers and the bigger palm tree are from Walmart, I backed the two drink stickers on white cardstock as they are see-through. The smaller palm tree was from my stash. I also added the "make today beautiful" washi.
I love how it turned out, and was tempted to keep it for myself, but I keep hoarding so many things, I really need to use them and give them away.
Here's what I received from my partner:
She had this tiny card attached to it:
 Here it is open:
I love the pineapple banner and the dangly charms on the side.
And here it is without the banner:
I love this pocket letter, it's so beautiful.
 And the back:
And the goodies:
There was a lot of bling and pineapple goodies, but I love it all.
I was actually very happy with this one, after a few sad and disappointing swaps.

Summer flip book

I signed up for another summer flip book swap. I had this journaling card that I basically made the whole flip book around:
It says: Summer is time for warm nights, lemonade, picnics, campfires, barbeques, cloud gazing.
Another paper pad I had (pink lemonade from Hobby Lobby) had papers that coordinated with those words, so I decided to use them. I planned to have it in the order of the card, but I screwed up.
Here's the warm nights and campfires:
I added the "celebrate life's beautiful moments" journaling card as the focus and some bug stickers. I also added the "Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful" journaling card. I think I need a little more decoration on this page.
Here's the lemonade and a forest page:
I added the "today was awesome" journaling card, making it into a pocket that holds bug stickers. I also added the "It's a wonderful life" journaling card as a pocket and filled it with mini sticky notes of pizza, tacos and clouds. I didn't really have a barbeques paper, so I used this paper and another paper below for it.
Here's another forest page and cloud gazing.
I added the "This is our happy place" journaling card as a pocket and put some cupcake stickers and planner? stickers. I also added the "Happy days are here" journaling card as a pocket with flower stickers. I added a sun sticker to the cloudy sky.
Here's the back, the picnics page:
I really like this page. The picnic sticker is from Michaels, the bee and ants are from Hobby Lobby. I had bought some black ant stickers for a picnic project, but I couldn't find them.
I'm also sending my partner a sheet of summer stickers.
Here's what I got from my partner:

I love the paper she used.

Summer flipbook

Another swap I signed up for was a summer flipbook. I had a base already started from last year when I picked up a summer themed scrapbooking kit at Hobby Lobby.
Here's what I created:
The background papers are from that scrapbooking kit. On the cover I made a banner that spelled out 'It's summer' the banner is made from sticky note flags from Target. The letters are from Dollar Tree (I think). The ice cream truck is from that scrapbooking kit. The arrow I had in my stash.
When you flip it to the left:
Close up of left page:
I made a pool with a paper from Hobby Lobby. The diver, flip flops on the right and the sentiment about flip flops are from the same scrapbooking kit. The flip flops on the left are from Walmart. Swimming pools and flip flops make me think of summer.
Close-up of right page:
Ice cream makes me think of summer, too. I enjoy it year round but it tastes the best after doing something outside on a hot summer day. The letters are from Dollar Tree. The middle cone is from Dollar Tree. The blue cone on the left and the blue popsicle are felt stickers from Target. The tall cone on the left is from the scrapbooking kit. The red white and blue popsicles are from Target. The tiny cone and popsicle in the middle are buttons from a swap. The tall cone on the right is from a swap. The washi at the bottom is from a swap. The two cones in the middle right are from a card from Dollar Tree.
When you flip this page to the left:
I stamped a bunch of bicycles on the bottom (Stamp from Hobby Lobby) and colored them in with bright colors. I added some washi (from a swap) to the top and just added some cut aparts (from the scrapbook kit) in a horizontal waterfall
When you close this page and flip the previous page to the right:
 Close-up of middle page:
I'm really bad at adding goodies to flipbooks, I like the decorating part so much that I tend to just decorate and not add places for goodies. I tried really hard to remember to add goodies to this one. I made a pocket at the bottom with paper from the scrapbooking kit, the sticker is also from the scrapbooking kit. I added some watermelon washi (from Hobby Lobby) to the top.
Here's what I put in the pocket:
stickers and tags. The sticker on the left is from the scrapbooking kit, the large cone is from Dollar Tree, the stickers at the bottom are from Target. The first tag has washi on it, the top one from a swap, the next three are from Dollar Tree, the last one I got at a garage sale. The second tag I got in a swap.
Close-up of the right page:
I used another paper to make a side pocket. This is what I included:
Some papers from another paper pad from Hobby Lobby and another tag with washi. The top one is from a swap, the bottom two are from Hobby Lobby.
Here's the back:
I added a pocket and put my note in it.
Here's what it looks like ready to be mailed:
It's very full, so I used a bow I got in a swap to hold it closed. The two paperclips at the top I got in a swap.
Here's what I got from my partner:
Front
 First flip
 Second flip
 Third flip
I'm not really sure what makes it a "summer" flip book though.
